Strathdee, Mary Ruth

(1927 - 2009)

On November 22, 2009 Ruth passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 82 years.

Ruth is survived by her children, in Edmonton, Alberta, Carole (Sivy) Covenden, Sharon (Ken) Kobzey and Debbie Blais. Susan (Ken) Varley of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Shirley (Len) Gessner of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Roy (Maureen) Strathdee of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Wilma (Sydney) Chan of Seattle, Washington and John (Lynn) Strathdee of Victoria, British Columbia. Also, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Edgar (Lois) Guest of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Jack (Jane) Guest and sister Mabel Hewitt, both of Kincardine, Ontario, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Roy Strathdee (1992), grandson Anthony Malan (1978), brother Harold Guest (2008), and parents Noble and Lillie Guest.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service was held.
