MARVIN SHEWCHUK

 Marvin Shewchuk died of cancer Aug 14/10, at Humboldt Hospital, at the age of 74.

 He was born at Thorsby, Alta on March 1/36, he married Joan Lyke on Jan16/60 and they moved to Uranium City in 1963.

 Their two children were born in  Uranium City, daughter Rhoda on Nov.20/64 and son Gary on Nov. 6/68.

Marvin and Joan and family moved to Lanigan, Sk in 1980, where Marvin was employed with PCS Lanigan as a mechanic and later a Safety Supervisor. He retired from PCS in 1997, but never quit working, as he owned and operated his own grass cutting business which he loved very much. His greatest love was wood working and he spent many hours in his shop making lovely gifts for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Joan Shewchuk, daughter Rhoda (James Hein), Grandsons Wesley, Wade, and Jeffrey Hein. Great Grandson Ryan Hein and Son Gary (Mona) Shewchuk.
